Like many families, Michelle Strickler’s (Siletz – Rogue River Shasta & Applegate) family faced challenges with alcoholism and addiction. When Michelle became a mother at 18, she knew she wanted something different for her children. She began pursuing entry-level positions with her tribal health organization—taking the first steps toward a new path.
Today, she’s a licensed pharmacy technician at the Siletz Tribal Pharmacy, ensuring her community has access to the medications they need.
Michelle’s story is one of resilience, healing, and hope—a reminder that it’s never too late to make a change and invest in yourself for the next generation of healers.
