Germain Medina (Wyandotte Nation) Post Bacc (gap year)
Germain Medina, (Wyandotte Nation), is currently completing the Wy’east Post-Baccalaureate Pathway at OHSU and will begin medical school at Washington State University in 2025. With a background in nursing, Germain is committed to improving healthcare access for Native communities.
For his cohort project, Germain is working to expand telehealth accessibility in rural and reservation communities. His goal is to educate patients on using telehealth services while advocating for improved internet access through technologies like Starlink, ensuring more Native people can connect with healthcare providers regardless of location.
Outside of medicine, Germain is an avid cyclist and dreams of competing in marathons across the country. He also loves traveling and has explored China, Costa Rica, Mexico, and many U.S. cities.
Through his passion for healthcare and technology, Germain is dedicated to breaking down barriers to care and creating a more accessible future for Native patients.
